Primary Responsibilities

  • In this role, you will collaborate with our Privacy Director and internal F5 teams to develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures on the information lifecycle, from data collection to data deletion.

  • Be responsible for creating, updating, or maintaining F5 Privacy internal policies, processes, and procedures.

  • Be a trusted partner and a subject matter expert in Privacy.

  • Manage and mitigate privacy risks.

  • Develop strategic initiatives to improve F5 Privacy posture and culture.

  • Support the development of privacy analyst(s).

  • Support technical improvements of our Privacy Management system.

  • Partner with the business to conduct Privacy Impact Assessments for vendors, ROPA reviews, and privacy analysis.

  • Partner with the business to create and conduct specific privacy training.

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Global Privacy regulations.

  • Be proactive in proposing new initiatives and creative ideas to improve the Privacy Program.

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Good work ethic and the capacity to fulfill responsibilities with limited supervision while maintaining effective communications with management, and internal partners. This includes researching, resolving, developing, evaluating, and implementing effective solutions.

  • Be able to review and evaluate the effectiveness of the privacy program.

  • Perform fact-finding, review privacy issues, and drive privacy compliance controls.

  • Be able to identify, research, investigate, and evaluate known and potential privacy and compliance risks across our business.

  • Professional knowledge of privacy risk assessments and be able to conduct related ongoing compliance monitoring activities. Maintains an ongoing plan to address and close privacy gaps.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and progressive experience in compliance, privacy, data protection, security, risk management and/or auditing, or substantial relevant professional work experience.

  • Solid understanding of global established and emerging privacy laws and regulations.

  • A CIPP Certification is a plus.

The annual U.S. base pay range for this position is: $119,270.00 - $178,904.00
