Role: R&D Tax Manager / Senior Manager

Your main responsibility will be to work very closely with our executive team providing high quality advice on a range of Innovation Incentives available in Ireland to clients from across a range of industry sectors. You will be mainly responsible for analysing qualifying expenditure incurred by companies on their R&D projects, assisting companies with Digital Games Tax Credit claims as well as supporting our clients in applying for a range of other Innovations Incentives. More specifically, your main responsibilities will include:

• Facilitate application of Irish tax law and Irish Revenue guidelines to identify those R&D costs eligible for tax relief.
• Ensuring provision of high-quality advice and solutions to clients, ensuring management of risk and reputation.
• Taking ownership and managing engagements from proposal stage up to presenting the deliverable.
• Preparing Innovation Incentives applications and calculations in order to prepare claims for submission to Irish Revenue and/or various granting bodies (e.g. IDA, EI).
• Managing multiple engagements and ensuring timely delivery of services.
• Supporting the business in winning new clients through the preparation and delivery of proposals.
• Producing project budgets and timetables that are efficient and cost effective.
• Managing the broad portfolio of clients to ensure quality and risk management procedures are continuously adhered to.• Working as an effective member of a project team, exhibiting strong communication skills and be able to work co-operatively and create synergies with other team members of different tax and technical skill sets.
• Contributing to thought leadership activities by writing tax technical articles and white papers pertaining Innovation Incentives.
• Performing technical analysis of the legislation and available guidance to address client specific requirements.
• Reviewing financial statements, CT computation documents and CT1 Forms to ensure that the R&D tax credit is correctly accounted for and claimed.


Revenue audits:

• Attending meetings with Revenue and preparation of supporting evidence to ensure the clients are best placed to defend their claims.
• Liaising with clients and Revenue to deal with any queries Revenue might have in respect of the methodologies adopted during preparation of the claims.
• Preparation of settlement positions including calculations of potential adjustments and modelling of various scenarios.
