Responsibilities:
- Keeping a close eye on market trends, economic indicators, and news that could impact stock prices. This includes reviewing overnight market developments and early morning news.
- Providing clients with timely updates on market conditions, stock recommendations, and trading opportunities. This often includes writing daily sales notes, conducting phone calls, and sending emails to keep clients informed.
- Facilitating the execution of buy and sell orders on behalf of clients. Ensuring trades are executed efficiently and at the best possible prices.
- Collaborating with research analysts to gather insights on specific stocks, sectors, and market conditions. Sharing these insights with clients to help them make informed investment decisions.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients. Understanding their investment goals, preferences, and risk tolerance to provide tailored advice and solutions.
- Continuously generating and presenting alpha-generating investment ideas to clients. This involves identifying undervalued stocks, market inefficiencies, and emerging trends.
- Managing administrative duties such as preparing reports, updating client portfolios, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Providing feedback to the research and trading teams based on client interactions and market observations to improve overall service and strategies.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- 5-8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a client-facing role working with the buy-side community
- Sales experience at a financial services organization
- Proven interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Broad client relationships preferred
- Must have or be able to obtain required licenses including Series 3, 7, 55 and 63
Education:
- Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
