Level/Grade: M7a(Senior Director)
Logistics leader and member of the Global Logistics senior staff; accountable to VP, Logistics for assigned responsibilities as outlined below.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads a Austin Logistics Team with accountability for four warehouses, Austin point-of-use replenishment strategy, and logistics ship-kit, and ship-services workcenters
- Primary interface for third-party logistics company supporting intra-plant transportation between buildings noted above and Manufacturing
- Develops, implements, and maintains logistics processes that comply with US tax and trade regulations
- Develops and drives site logistics network strategy; key collaborator in evolution of global logistics network and overall strategy
- Determines logistics documentation requirements and drives iQMS and material handler training programs
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement of inbound, intra-plant, and inter-plant material movements
- Ensures compliance with applicable Applied Materials’ quality standards and drives 8D mindset
- Accountable for achieving warehouse productivity, labor/storage, safety, and inventory management targets
- Key collaborator in development and implementation of WMO automation, robotics, and digital connectivity programs
- Accountable for adherence to Applied Materials’ 6S and warehouse specific safety protocols
- Role prepares qualified leader for future Operations or Logistics senior leadership responsibilities

Interpersonal Skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills required
