As an Escrow Deal Negotiator Vice President in Liquidity and Account Solutions, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of Escrow client relationships. The Escrow Deal Negotiator (“DN”) will negotiate agreements in advance of deal closings in accordance with JPM Escrow risk profile and establish financial accounts. This will involve interaction with clients and attorneys and will require coordination internally to ensure JPM’s Know Your Customer process has been satisfied prior to signing the agreement. The DN will also load all deal information for a comprehensive setup into our operating system, manage the deal pipeline and related meetings, assist with client correspondence and support the Sales effort by striving to earn repeat clients with strong customer service skills.
Job responsibilities:
- Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
- Understand the business purpose and deal structure for new business referrals
- Review and negotiate governing documents with internal counsel as needed
- Interact with client’s external counsel to negotiate escrow contracts in a proactive and professional manner ensuring that the risk profile of JPMorgan is protected while also ensuring that the needs of the client with respect to responsiveness and timely closing are met
- Work with team members to ensure deal information is set up on all operating systems and contractual obligations denoted
- Identify and actively follow up on all escrow and bank business opportunities
- Ensure the potential risk and liability being assumed by JPMorgan under each agreement is within guidelines
- Act as the primary point of contact for allocated clients
- Manage the retention of client relationships
- Provide and promote strong and proactive customer service by responding quickly to client requests, offering solutions to client needs, and developing meaningful client relationships
- Escalate any issues promptly on identification
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8+ year's work experience in financial services, preferably in Escrow
- 5+ years of client service experience
- Minimum 5 years of M&A Escrow experience
- Minimum 5 years of legal negotiation for M&A Escrow
- Paying Agent experience
- Strong Excel and Word skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team Player and highly motivated
