Sr. Advanced Software Engineer for Intermec Technologies Corporation (Fort Mill, SC)
RESPONSIBILITIES: -Build high performance, high-quality software that meets design specifications.
-Participate in the development and preparation of design specifications and code reviews. -Maintain and improve quality results by following architectural, coding, and process standards.
-Follow a scrum agile development process, including analyzing and testing software to ensure solutions meet standards and end user requirements.
-Understand the functions/operational concepts of the software product being developed, and the concepts of warehouse execution and warehouse control systems in general. -Provide implementation support as needed, documents modifications and changes to the system, recommends improved policies and procedures.
-Propose software configuration/modification to adapt to business change requirements.

YOU MUST HAVE:
Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field and 6 years of experience in Linux & embedded software development including requirement analysis, software design, implementation, testing, and support. Must have 5 years of experience with the following: C/C++ programming skills; extensive experience with Linux/RTOS based software platforms. Must have 3 years of experience with the following: experience with Agile software development methodologies or Water fall model and using git/gerrit, SVN, bitbucket/bamboo; experience with wireless technology standards including RFID, 802.11, NFC, and Bluetooth. Approximately 20% domestic/international travel required. Telecommuting permitted up to two (2) times per week.
