Duties include the scheduling of crew and facilities, working with Engineering to ensure the technical integrity of all equipment to support live production, and working with production to address needs as they come up during a live production.This role requires vision, ability to deal with ambiguity, and a drive to learn and be curious in a high-pressure environment that is constantly evolving.Key job responsibilities
• Oversee day to day studio operations to ensure a compelling customer experience is produced in an efficient and frictionless environment.
• Create a weekly production schedule that details all employee activity, both staff and freelance. Update and audit these schedules as events get added or as production needs change.
• Work closely with production teams and vendors to ensure alignment on all production items needed for studio production.
• Ensure all archive workflows are working as designed as they relate to the studio as an archive hub. Follow up with media management department to support archive integrity and accuracy.
• Maintain and track all physical assets in the studio environment. Manage relationships with vendors as needed for equipment repair or replacement.
• Assist in the annual budget process with The Head of Tech Ops the Head of and Engineering & Technology. Track all cap ex and op ex expenditures for the studio.
• Collaborate with Amazon technology teams to improve existing tools and operational workflows by identifying problem areas and providing smart solutions.
• 8+ years of studio operations management experience.
• Demonstrate expertise and knowledge of studio-based equipment, technical workflows, and the needs of Production in a live production environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of video, audio, and image encoding formats and industry best practices.
• Experience with high-volume, high-velocity, large-scale file management (workflow orchestration, file-movement, permission management, etc.)
• Prior experience with budgeting and scheduling workflows.
• Undergraduate degree in Media Production, (or equivalent experience in live studio operations.)
• Experience working on or with large-scale, global projects with tight budgets and deadlines.
• Experience with common editing programs (e.g. Avid, Final Cut, Premier)
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders – both internal and external.
• Adaptability and resilience to quick changes in priorities, tools, workflow and technology
• Ability to problem-solve and multi-task in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and a team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, can clearly articulate and document technical processes.
