Job Description

The role serves as a junior security engineer, supporting enterprise wide projects and initiative, with focus on designing and building secure cloud solutions, adopting security best practices and implementing cloud security controls.

Responsibilities

• Help define reference architectures, architectural patterns, blueprints and drive preventative and detective security controls

• Assist in driving the adoption of security best practices for protecting company data in cloud

• Support cloud mass migration for a subset of applications need to be migrated

• Partner with platform and development teams to assess and close gaps in cloud security posture and data protection across the security disciplines.

• Support the collaborative development of the technology strategy, technology standard and roadmaps

Must haves

• Basic understanding of IaaS, PaaS and SaaS cloud services

• Practical experience with or professional knowledge of at least one of the major public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their services (VPC/Virtual Network, EC2/Azure VMs, S3/Azure Storage, etc.)

• Understanding of native or 3rd party cloud security tools (Azure Policies and Initiatives, Azure Security Center, CloudWatch, AWS SecurityHub, AWS Trusted Adviser,Palo Alto Prisma Cloud, etc.)

• Participation in projects designing, building and operating hybrid and cloud-only IT solutions

• Strong interpersonal, networking, influencing, and relationship-building skills and the ability to navigate cross-culturally with wide array of stakeholders, internally and externally.

Preferred

• Practical experience with or advanced understanding of DevSecOps

• Programming or scripting skills

• Certification in cloud, cloud security or information security
