Drive physical and electrochemical electrode design from concept to production, working with cell development teams and vendors
Interface with the broader cell development teams to define electrode design targets (fast charge, lifetime, cost, etc.) for current and future cell programs
Work with cell materials component owners and mechanical design engineers to understand, document, and disseminate material and design options for the electrode stack
Interface with our strategic partners and internal stakeholder by providing and analyzing key results and risks
Provide solutions to cell performance discrepancies with electrode design options (e.g., loading, density, composition, etc.), alternate anode design, cathode design, and electrolyte formulations proposals, combining upstream stack design targets with process capability to determine realistic designs
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent experience
Familiarity with battery cell operation, design, and testing
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to communicate and consolidate information across multiple stakeholders and teams
Experience taking a product or design from concept to manufacturing
