Job Description

As a Product Technical Lead within the Experiment Design and Execution Product Line, you will enable capabilities that help scientists operate and execute experiments utilizing their day-to-day operational and transactional solutions that facilitate the research process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Product Manager(s) and Architects to identify opportunities to enhance and expand the product technical landscape, ensuring consistent performance of existing applications while reducing technical debt.

  • Manage cross-functional teams that integrate science, technology, capabilities, and talent to create impactful products that offer high business value and a great user experience for scientists.

  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based systems, leading teams in various cloud configurations while ensuring adherence to the technology governance model and compliance with organizational policies.

  • Monitors and reviews system software metrics and adjusts configurations for optimum availability and performance.

  • Design, develop and enhance Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines to accelerate development cycles and ensure reliable releases.

  • Collaborate with technical teams to design, develop, and implement system integrations, oversee SaaS solutions configuration, and support legacy applications refactoring and migration to modern platforms and produce technical documentation, including architecture diagrams.

  • Occasional International travel may be required per product demands.

Education Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline (such as computer science, engineering, biology, chemistry, etc.). Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not mandatory.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 8+ years of experience in IT with ability to architect, engineer, optimize and maintain software solutions to solve complex scientific problems.

  • Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and customer focus skills with ability to influence strategic thinking.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Experience of designing and operating cloud services at global scale.

  • In-depth understanding of cloud computing and networking principles.

  • Passion for learning new technologies and delivering customer value.

  • Hands-on software development experience using either Java, Python, or other programming languages.

  • Experience with DevOps practices using Git, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other tools.

Desired Technical Skills:

  • Experience working across Research Discovery, Pre-Clinical and/or Clinical Business areas.

  • Experience with Entity Registration and Inventory & Sample Management capabilities.

  • Understanding of Laboratory Application and Vendor Landscape.

  • Experience with platforms such as Power BI, Power Platform or DataBricks.

  • Experience in automation with at least one configuration/deployment management tool such as Ansible, Terraform.

  • Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.

  • Familiarity with the latest AI technologies and services such as Azure, OpenAI.
