As a Hardware engineering Manager(Lab System Integration)within the SCHIE team, you will support innovative projects and apply yourin a fast paced & technically driven environment. You will work with a diverse set of teams to ensure that lab operations areand tuned to perform in a complex environment while continuing to scale, and capability.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of technical engineering experience
    • OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • 2 years of management or team leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of experience inTechnicaloperations related to Server System architecture that includes server functionality, network requirements and management, mechanical and electrical specification application, and software & firmware application in engineering labs or datacenter environments and/or data center operations.

Other Requirments

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background with system level qualification, validation, I/O interconnect, PCIE high speed data switches.
  • Experience with lab test equipment setups for signal measurement using oscilloscopes and the capability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
  • Familiarity with core routing, switching functions and LAN technologies.
  • Experience with Linux command line operations, scripting languages such as PowerShell, installs, configures, and support of Operating Systems that includes both Linux and Windows.
  • Customer and results oriented with attention to quality and details.
  • Motivated to continuously learn and improve existing solutions.
  • Troubleshooting system hardware errors and fixing issues.
  • Rack and stack of servers and kit to cabinets.
  • Physical installation and/or removal of equipment within the Data Center or Intermediary Data Facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Provides the end-to-end physical and logical implementation of various lab project requirements including detailed hardware configurations, racks, network configurations, infrastructure, racking systems, and power distribution.
  • Provides “in-service” project implementation deployment that includes equipment verification and configuration testing in support of defined program requirements.
  • Provide required troubleshooting, validation, network connectivity, and system infrastructure integration while coordinating user requirements to align with automation capabilities and recommended technical solutions.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all documented processes and procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts to meet and support needs inclusive of system operational goals, capacity optimization, and emerging capability needs.
