Network Specialists are expected to work with established best practices to refine operational procedures, develop new tooling and constantly think proactively and innovatively which include:• Installing and troubleshooting of network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment of AWS
• Performing assigned tasks during migrating networks in live environment
• Performing cabling, labelling, certification and patching of server positions to network equipment
• Performing inventory of onsite tools and materials;
• Managing work through ticketing system and workflows
• Managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Working closely with Network Engineering, Technical Program Managers, and other stakeholders to deliver projects
• Designing the physical network interconnections to Amazon standards
• Coordinating operations with other Data Center teams
• Seeking out ways to improve yourself and improve the processes and systems we use

- Knowledge of fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment and troubleshooting methodologies
- Familiarity with TCP/IP networking and common networking terms
- • Background in large scale datacenter network implementations and experience with major networking operating systems (Cisco IOS, JunOS, etc)
- • Experience with IT best practice frameworks (ITIL, LEAN, AGILE) and Operational Excellence concepts or methodologies
- • Experience working with various networking hardware such as multiplexers, routers, and switches
