As aSenior Managerof Controls for the Adherence Quality Assurance (AQA) team, you will be responsible for managing the strategic roadmap, governance and oversight of the regulatory call monitoring function for US Card. As part of the Card Risk organization, your focus will be to effectively lead a team of risk associates responsible for ensuring existing controls are designed effectively and operated within operational expectations, ensuring effective coverage against regulatory requirements on behalf of US Card Account Executives. In addition to oversight & governance and audit readiness, you will be responsible for managing a team of intent delivery leads whose responsibility it is to interface with the business in the design, development and operationalization of new controls. You will work closely with Legal, Compliance, Data Analysis and business partners in order to interpret requirements and ensure design and implementation of controls are delivered with quality and in harmony with AQA operational readiness needs. As owner of the controls strategic roadmap, you will not only manage the near term backlog, but also shape the long term innovation agenda, including leading efforts to drive application & implementation approaches for Machine Learning, NLP and modeling.
This role ismeaning associates typically spend about half their time (2-3 days per week)in-person at one of our offices listed on this job postingare enterprise- wide
Responsibilities:
Co Develop a strategic vision for the AQA control environment
Lead a team of associates focused on intent development, control delivery, strategic prioritization, and ongoing process improvement
Lead development of control design, governance and delivery standards, to ensure ongoing sustainability & resiliency
Manage controls backlog, ensuring ongoing transparency and prioritization of efforts both with external clients but also internal DA and Operational development partners
Ensure visibility and transparency for internal and external stakeholders to the status of the Controls backlog, including development & ongoing prioritization discussions
Shape and develop long term strategic roadmap with a differential eye towards innovation and partnership with emerging technology and platform capabilities (both at Capital One and industry wide)
Participate as part of dynamic AQA leadership team, helping to drive outcomes not only for Controls, but the wider operational organization
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or Military experience
At least 4 years of experience in Risk Management, Audit or Governance
At least 4 years of experience in People Management
At least 2 years of experience in Operations
At least 2 years of experience in Project or Process Management
Preferred Qualifications
Masters Degree
Project Management certification or PMP certification
1+ years of experience in Product Management
3+ years of experience in Operations
3+ years of experience in project or process management
3+ years of experience in People Management
