What You'll Do:

• Lead and mentor a team of data engineers to deliver high-quality data solutions.
• Define the vision, mission, and strategy for the BizTech Data Engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs).
• Drive continuous improvement in data quality, reliability, and performance.
• Manage project timelines, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields prior to people management.
• 3+ years of management experience, leading engineering teams.
• Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams.
• Strong experience with data architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, and NoSQL databases.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to define and track OKRs, and manage projects from conception to delivery.
