Responsibilities:

  • Perform Scheduled and non-scheduled work orders
  • Perform all compliance and scheduled (Preventive Maintenance) PM's
  • Ensure plant coverage during off-shift hours
  • Communicate with planners and order non-stock parts
  • Read and understand manuals, schematics, and P&Ids
  • Maintain shop files, prints, loop sheets, spec sheets
  • Properly use high voltage test equipment
  • Re-fuse high voltage lines
  • Remove and repair switch gear
  • Troubleshoot and repair motors for bearing and electrical failure
  • Properly size and install wire and conduit
  • Know and troubleshoot various types of lighting, lighting fixtures and photo cells
  • Repair and calibrate pneumatic field instrumentation
  • Repair and calibrate electronic field instrumentation
  • Repair and calibrate laboratory equipment
  • Install, program, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
  • Understand and troubleshoot various types of natural gas fired equipment including lighting and temperature control issues.
  • Understand and troubleshoot various weigh scale applications including tanks, hoppers and finished product packaging systems.
  • SHIFT: Ability to work 12 hour rotating shifts to support a 24/7 operation. Work 4 hour days one week and 3 12 hour days the next, will fall on weekends and holiday. Pay period is 84 hours. Always 7am to 7pm alternating from days to nights. Will alternate days and nights
  • SCHEDULE: Rotating 4/10’s. Every other weekend is a 4 day weekend. “ON-CALL” is a requirement 4 days a month but not on a 4-day weekend.
You Must Have:
  • 3 years of experience as an Instrument and Electrical technician in manufacturing environment.
We Value:
  • High school Diploma or GED
  • 2 Year Technical degree in instrumentation and/or electrical preferred
  • Ability to work shift work, including weekends
  • Have a working knowledge of process control fundamentals
  • Know how to tune PID controllers
  • Have working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCSs)
