Today

:

  • Prepare/post journal entries in collaboration with GBS Team as needed.
  • Perform GL line items analysis of transactions in SAP as required.
  • Prepare/review/approve the assigned Balance Sheet Reconciliations as needed
  • Provide support in other areas of accounting, as required.
  • Code domestic & foreign purchases, freight, duties, taxes and other invoices to proper GL accounts.
  • Prepare/review accruals for outstanding expense, utilities, freight, or duty invoices, for month end closing.
  • Reconciliation of vendors to statement and intercompany balances.
  • Responsible for executing cheque runs, EFT payments and bank enquiries on payments as needed.
  • Timely payment of taxes and keeping track of payments made for taxes e.g., sales tax, withholding tax, corporate taxes.
  • Support in processing and validating regular overhead and workflow invoices.
  • Responsible for coordinating and collaborating with Logistics, Finance, Tax and other departments
  • Support during external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and bridge to connect the appropriate team members.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

:

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and time-management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office; knowledge of SAP is an asset.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Good knowledge of general accounting rules (IFRS/ local GAAP) and experience with auditors and year end closing
  • Eagerness to learn, adaptable, and proactive in problem-solving.
  • Must be proactive, have strong initiative and be self-motivated.
  • A team player and relationship builder that excels while working with diverse groups of people in an ambiguous environment

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University or College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 1–2 years of accounting or finance experience
