What You’ll Do
  • Cash & Share-Based Incentive Design: Development, implementation, and communication of equity (e.g., stock options, RSUs) and cash incentive programmes tailored to the German market
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure programmes adhere to German tax regulations; provide guidance on tax-efficient compensation structures for employees
  • Query Management & Solutions: Serve as the primary contact for resolving (equity) compensation queries. Develop FAQs, knowledge bases and support on developing AI-driven tools (e.g., chatbots) to streamline employee support, enhance accessibility and help employees understand the value and structure of their compensation packages
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilise dashboards created by our People Analytics team to monitor programme performance, identify trends, and translate data into strategic insights for stakeholders. Maintain and develop reports whilst modelling compensation forecasts to guide informed investment decisions
  • Market Benchmarking and Review Cycles: Analyse industry trends and competitive practices to maintain Tesla’s position as a market leader in compensation and support in planning and operations of our compensation review cycles
  • Stakeholder Education & Partnership: Educate HR Business Partners, Recruiting and managers on compensation principles, plan mechanics, and communication strategies
What You’ll Bring
  • 5+ years’ experience in compensation, specialising in equity programmes and cash incentive design in Germany
  • Proven expertise in designing and implementing share-based plans such as stock options, RSUs, and performance shares
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and HR systems, plus knowledge of German labour laws and tax regulations related to compensation
  • Ability to translate complex equity concepts into actionable strategies and adapt problem-solving approaches in dynamic environments
  • Fluency in English with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; German language proficiency is a plus
  • Expertise in German tax implications for equity compensation, ESPPs, or deferred cash plans, or a background in data analytics/engineering with exposure to AI and automation tools
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or high-growth environments, with knowledge of Tarif agreements being advantageous
