We're looking for a talented software engineer to help us build a world-class developer platform to power the Snowflake Data Cloud. As an engineer in Engineering Systems on the CI team, you will play a central role in delivering the next generation continuous integration platform used by our world-class engineers to develop our flagship product. Together with industry-wide experts in distributed systems, cross-cloud development and engineering excellence, you will evolve our developer infrastructure to be elastic, scalable, and high-performance with simplicity at its core.

As an engineer in Engineering Systems, you will help Snowflake achieve its mission and vision of becoming the premier Data Cloud by accelerating the delivery of our high-quality software to production. You will be a key stakeholder in driving clarity on our strategy. You will ensure that the team is executing to meet the current needs of its customers, while ensuring that we stay ahead of technology trends and future requirements.

Our ideal software engineer will have:
  • Strong passion for making developers highly productive.
  • 3+ years industry experience developing backend services.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux, shell scripting, systems programming.
  • Excellent problem solving skills, and strong CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Fluency in at least one of the following languages: Python, Go, Java, C++.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate well.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good written and verbal English language skills.
Bonus points for experience with the following:
  • Hands-on experience with CI systems like GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins.
  • Track record of implementing distributed systems in Python.
