As a Payroll Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the end-to-end payroll process for multiple countries within our SAP system. You will lead and develop a team of 10+ payroll specialists, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery while fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing payroll team through effective recruitment, development, and performance management.
  • Drive team performance by setting clear objectives and tracking key performance indicators.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture through regular communication and mentorship.
  • Optimize team efficiency by managing workload distribution and prioritizing tasks.
  • Represent the payroll team in client meetings and act as a primary escalation point.
  • Owns the management and improvement of SLA and KPI performance.

Payroll Operations

  • Demonstrate in-depth expertise in Polish payroll regulations and processes.
  • Oversee the entire payroll cycle, from data collection to payment disbursement, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve payroll issues and drive process improvements.
  • Utilize SAP and other relevant systems to efficiently manage payroll data and generate accurate reports.

Customer Service

  • Provide exceptional customer support to the team members and client employees by addressing their concerns and needs.
  • Optimize team efficiency by managing workload distribution and prioritizing tasks.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the payroll service delivery experience.
  • Build strong relationships with the client and client employees through open communication and timely resolution of inquiries.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proven minimum 3 years experience in managing payroll teams of at least 10 employees.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll processes. Knowledge of German and Swiss regulations would be an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve payroll issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and team members.
  • Proficiency in SAP payroll systems and MS Office Suite.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a focus on process improvement
