Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Financial Reporting Intermediate Analyst prepares quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports for mutual funds in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements. Intermediate Analysts also:
- Prepare and/or review financial statements and perform an initial review of SEC filings (e.g. N-PORT, N-CSR, N-1A, 24F-2)
- Assist with audits and provide support as necessary
- Prepare quarterly Board reports
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of mutual funds and financial markets
- Respond proactively to internal and external client inquiries
- Complete training sessions to increase industry knowledge
- Work on special projects, other regulatory filings and ad hoc requests as assigned
Qualifications
Job Specifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related area or equivalent work experience
- 3-5 years accounting or reporting experience in the registered investment company or financial services industry
- Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office applications required, especially Excel
