Job responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, designs UI components, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Design and develop new user-facing features using React.js based on user requirements.
  • Gather requirements and feedback directly from Front Office users and product teams
  • Build reusable components and contribute to front-end libraries for future use.
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Expert-level React, JavaScript/Typescript knowledge, with demonstrated complex implementations a must, e.g., Micro frontends, mono repo, optimization techniques, and design patterns.
  • Knowledge and understanding of a modern React stack (hooks, functional components)
  • Good knowledge of Unit/integration/e2e testing with continuous deployment (CI/CD), Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Knowledge and experience working with HTML5, CSS and precompilers, like Sass and LESS
  • Understanding UX design concepts like responsive web design
  • Experience with real time messaging (specifically AMPS/websockets) a plus
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systemstry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience

qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience with Redux (saga beneficial)
  • Experience with component libraries (Styled Components, Material UI, AG-Grid etc. )
  • Knowledge and experience with dependency management and using build tools like Webpack
  • Java knowledge advantageous
