What you will do:
Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:
- Lead reviews of PRD sizing packages, methodologies, safe locations.
- Support the overall PRD program within GES.
- Liaise with internal and external partners on PRD deliverables.
- Prepare and deliver PRD training to stakeholders.
- Lead updates in PRD standards and training.
- Work with the PRD team to identify solutions and improvements to the overall program.
- Lead studies and evaluations, determine suitability, establish direction, conduct risk assessments, define safeguards.
- Lead and participate in development and maintenance of core documents such as internal Practices, Procedures, Design Guides and Engineering Standards.
- Participate in professional/technical organizations and in the development and delivery of subject matter training for Global Engineering Solutions.
- Collaborate in a dynamic environment to develop design solutions and best practices.
- Defining intent in Front-End Loading, Peer input during design, oversight during operation and development/implementation of Process Safety Initiatives.
What skills you will need:
In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:
- Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent applied life sciences qualification.
- Certified PHA & LOPA Facilitator is preferred.
- A strong understanding of process, equipment and facility design, safety practices, standards, operations, maintenance and industry regulations.
- Experience in PRD methodologies, DIERS, reviews is essential.
- Understanding of PRD standards, PED, & ASME Codes is essential.
- Minimum 5 years Process Safety experience including any prior experience with Engineering Design, Equipment Operation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, decision making and the ability to guide global work.
- Previous Operations experience in PSM covered processes. Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or Project Management Experience.
