About the role:

You will be responsible for ensuring the planning and completion of development projects are successful, including correct resources allocation, project budget planning and adherence. You will establish and maintain strategies and organizational structure that enable efficient execution and world class innovation for our projects and technology roadmaps. You will lead inclusively and develop a team that collaborates effectively across all sites and divisions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Build strategic partnerships and effectively collaborate cross-functionally to further departmental and organizational objectives
  • Identify and communicate the group's vision, new strategies, and projects aimed at enhancing key business metrics
  • Nurture and advance an inclusive workplace environment where all individuals can fully contribute to their potential while pursuing organizational goals
  • Exercise leadership and guidance, employing coaching and mentoring to foster a results-driven environment, and attracting and retaining top-tier talent; assume responsibility for succession planning within the team and devise and execute proactive retention strategies
  • Identify and champion product development and functional excellence initiatives within the group
  • Identify future technology and intellectual property critical to future business growth, and drive implementation
  • Cultivate a wide network of internal, external, and industry-specialist contacts
  • Partner with and influence other functions to ensure common short and long-term business goals and strategies are met
  • Champion the sharing and leveraging of initiatives, processes, and accomplishments across the divisions/plants
  • Prepare for the launch of new products as they are handed over from R&D through to the successful launch into a production scale operation
  • Development of necessary Manufacturing Processes on-site, ensuring optimization of layout and process flow
  • Development of processes which fully meet our Regulatory and Quality requirements working in close relationship with QA and Manufacturing/Business counterparts
  • Oversee the specification and purchase of capital equipment, ensuring balance between optimizing our technological capabilities and return on investment
  • Work closely with R&D to ensure that design for manufacturability is a key consideration in initial product design
  • Understand and comply with all the regulations governing the quality systems
  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to patient safety and product quality; ensure all direct reports are well-versed in their commitment to patient safety and product quality, up to date with their training requisites, and fully compliant with all pertinent regulations governing their functions
  • Develop and manage budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with corporate requirements

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 10+ years of related work experience
  • 5+ years of experience in leading & developing an engineering group or other engineering leaders
  • Experience in the medical device industry or other highly regulated industry

Preferred qualifications:

  • Track record of developing strong partnerships with multiple customers simultaneously
  • Inclusive approach to projects that drives collaboration & execution in technology areas
  • Proficient in financial management, with demonstrated experience in effectively managing budgets
  • Experience establishing organizational designs that improve communication, efficiency and collaboration
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with divisional/franchise and operations partners achieving project contracts
  • Experience owning technology roadmaps, delivering innovative solutions within the product life cycle process through commercial deployment
  • Experience working with or in manufacturing and R&D, identifying opportunities, and delivering on commitments
  • Working knowledge of BSC therapies, products, and processes

Maximum Salary: $ 254000

Compensation fornon-exempt (hourly), non-sales rolesmay also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
