Minimum qualifications:
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or Telecom Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP or system design operations methodology.
- Experience working with field operation technicians, engineers, contractors, or vendors in a telecommunications environment.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience troubleshooting of Dense Wave-Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems and in DWDM topology and architecture.
- Knowledge of fiber types and their application; physical fiber characteristics; and standard testing tools (OSA, BERT, OTDR).
- Understanding of networking and fundamentals of network troubleshooting at Layer1.
- Understanding of network transport design, equipment and infrastructure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
