Description
You will be developing and validating optical sensors. You will be expected to Analyze data to draw conclusions, enhance product design/manufacturability, and drive failure analysis. You will collaborate with multi-functional teams, including Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering and Process Engineering to deliver innovative sensing solutions. - Product simulation and data analysis using a variety of software tools to support engineering validation and characterization, such as Matlab, Python, JMP, etc.- Failure mode analysis, root-cause diagnosis, and system-level problem solving- up to 10% travel required
Key Qualifications
  • Strong background in optical design
  • Experience with optical lab equipment (microscopes, spectrometers, detector, etc.) and experiments
  • Basic knowledge in Electrical Engineering
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Optical simulation experience is a plus
  • Experience supporting volume manufacturing is a plus, such as failure analysis, statistics, etc.
Education & Experience
- BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $256,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
