*Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Red Hat, Inc. office in Raleigh, NC.
What You Will Do:
Submit patches for bug fixes to the community and review patches from other community members.
Work with the quality engineering group to ensure that the projects are tested correctly on an ongoing basis.
Troubleshoot networking problems in distributed environments such as Red Hat OpenStack Platform.
Design and maintain CI frameworks, write and review unit, functional and end-to end tests, contribute them to the upstream community.
Work on software packaging for major Linux distributions such as RHEL.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or related role.
Must have seven (7) years of experience with one of the following Linux environments: Ubuntu, Fedora, or RHEL;
Must have seven (7) years of experience with programming and scripting languages;
Must have five (5) years of experience with one of the following virtualization technologies: KVM, VMware, or similar;
Must have five (5) years of experience with networking protocols including DHCP, DNS, ARP, Geneve and with networking technologies including L2 switching, L3 routing and L4;
Must have three (3) years of experience developing and designing large distributed systems;Must have one (1) year of experience with open-source upstream development.
The salary range for this position is $151,986 - $234,500. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
