Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the design, planning and execution of experimental programs using pilot plants and/or models for New Product Development, capability, and sales support projects.
- Provide support to Technical Service in troubleshooting and optimizing performance on commercial units.
- Provide support to the Sales Support and Engineering functions to improve the competitiveness of commercial offerings and designs.
- Lead and drive process and catalyst New Product Development programs from concept to commercialization.
- Build awareness of the market, competition, and new developments. Use insights to contribute and collaborate on building strong technology roadmaps to drive long term growth.
- Deliver high impact capability programs including enhanced models and tools to enable knowledge to be readily utilized across the organization. This includes equipping the business and sales support teams to best position technology offerings to customers as well as to provide to key insights and guidance on the direction for new technology development.Identify novel technology solutions and author invention disclosures to contribute to the innovation effort at Honeywell UOP.
- Focus on support and development of technologies in the Aromatics and Olefins areas, with opportunities to work more broadly in the petrochemicals (including Olefins & Detergents, Aromatics, and Naphtha technologies) area.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 3+ years’ experience with refining or petrochemical technologies, which can include doctoral and post-doctoral work in the field
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
WE VALUE:
- Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Strong understanding of chemistry/chemical engineering fundamentals and application in process, catalyst and/or adsorbent technology development.
- Experience in developing and executing experimental plans including the use of statistical tools for data analysis
- Effective in working independently with a strong focus on delivering results and identifying alternative solutions when challenges arise.
- Solid project management and prioritization skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and present impactful presentations internally and externally.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma concepts and their application in managing risk and uncertainty efficiently. Six Sigma green belt certification is preferred.
- Experience using process simulation software such as Unisim or AspenPlus.
- Demonstrated ability to work across functional groups across different time zones and cultures.
