Your role:
Provides legal advice and counseling on a broad range of legal, privacy, regulatory, and compliance issues that arise in a public medical device company, with a goal of enabling the company’s objectives while managing and mitigating risk.
Drafts, negotiates, and interprets various types of clinical, provider, and commercial contracts with customers, suppliers or government agencies, including, but not limited to: research and development agreements, provider consulting agreements, sales and distribution agreements, supply agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
Identifies and directs the work of outside counsel and third party vendors, as needed, defines project objectives, and manages budget andprojects
Advises on potential complex business transactions, such asacquisitions.
Provides support and input to the HR, Quality, and Regulatory functions in the management of the responses to government agencies or authorities
Manages Company’s legal disputes and litigation matters and implements liability avoidanceinitiatives.
Helps manage corporate governance processes and compliance with securitieslaws.
Drafts, implements, and manages legal, privacy, and compliance policies andprocedures.
Trains and educates various functions on legal, privacy,and complianceissues.
Develops and maintains legal expertise in various areas, including but not limited to export control laws and regulations as well as statutes, laws, and regulations applicable to medical devices, commercial transactions, privacy, and healthcare compliance.
Develops overall legal strategy to address Company’s needs as a medical technology
You're the right fit if:
You have 10+ years experience practicing law in a regulated industry; preferably healthcare or medicaldevice.
Juris Doctorate degree from accredited U.S. lawschool.
Experience in advising and counseling clients on a range of regulatory, compliance, and privacy matters, as well as business transactions and operational matters related to the selling of medical devices and selling to health care professionals, retailers, and consumers.
Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements relating to procurement, sales, licensing, marketing, co-promotion, and research and development collaborations
Familiarity with laws that affect medical technology companies, including but not limited to those relevant to sales and marketing of products to health care professionals and reimbursement by government programs areas, such as fraud and abuse (Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act), FDA regulation (Food, Drug & Cosmetic Act), privacy (HIPAA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and anti-corruption (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act)
Effectively communicates with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership; possesses clear and concise presentation and communication skills; and delivers content that is appropriately tailored to audience needs
Ability to prioritize with a risk-based approach and juggle numerous issues atonce
Self-motivated, with an ability to work under own initiative, often under time criticalconditions
Can-do, problem-solvingattitude

The pay range for this position in Bothell, WA is $200,000 to $250,000.
US work authorization is a precondition of employment. The company will not consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa, now or in the future.
