Corporate Advisory

  • Financing Group Coverage sits within a dynamic, market-driven environment, our teams work closely with corporate clients, pension funds, financial sponsors and governments to structure and execute some of the largest and most complex financing and risk management solutions across the full product spectrum, including equity, debt and derivatives. To achieve this goal, the Financing Group comprises all Goldman Sachs’ capital markets departments, and operates on close cooperation with other areas of Corporate Advisory and other divisions within the firm, including Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities and Equities. Teams are organized by product group including Leveraged Finance, Equity Capital Markets, Investment Grade, Structured Finance, Corporate Derivatives, Public Sector & Infrastructure and Emerging Markets.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize knowledge of corporate finance, financing and derivatives to develop recommendations and advisory solutions for clients.
  • Develop proficiency (including pricing and structuring skills) in macro markets and products including: interest rates, FX, commodities, equity-linked, credit and structured finance products.
  • Interact with global clients and other divisions at Goldman Sachs.
  • Prepare and analyze complex financial and pricing models and company financial statements.
  • Coordinate with corporate advisory and securities colleagues on pricing and execution, locally as well as globally.
  • Prepare marketing, pricing and advisory materials.
  • Participate in live deal execution (onshore and offshore transactions and related risk management execution).
  • Materials for client pitches including analysis of marketing, financing solutions and broader advisory, as well as distribution.
  • Everyday contact with the public side to gather market feedback on specific companies and sectors

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least one to two years’ experience in relevant role.
  • A keen, long-term interest in corporate finance, coupled with a demonstrated interest in financial markets and risk management.
  • Ability to work between multiple topic areas interchangeably (FX, Rates, Commodities, Equity-linked derivates, Credit and Structured Finance).
  • Strong attention to detail and strong quantitative and technical abilities.
  • Drive, enthusiasm, creativity, and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability and dedication to meet strict deadlines.
