Description
Responsibilities include:* Manage, lead, mentor, and grow an organization of engineers and provide effective coaching to managers* Define technical vision and strategy for large scale data platform experience. Design and drive a technical roadmap with focused execution* Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional leaders in engineering, product, and operations across Apple to understand their requirements and drive adoption of our data platform with excellence in user experience* Inspire teams to innovate, invent, and implement scalable solutions for complex data problems * Provide guidance and establish processes to ensure engineering excellence and operational sustainability * Foster a healthy, inclusive, collaborative, and technology-driven culture, and a high output team
Minimum Qualifications
- 15+ years of software development experience, with 10+ years managing engineering teams
- 8+ years of experience in user experience and UI engineering. Proficient in large scale web development, UI frameworks, UX design methodology, and user testing on data products
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to collaborate cross-functionally with program managers and engineering partners
- Experience in influencing and driving key product innovations and opportunities across diverse stakeholders
- Passionate about operational excellence through proper automation and engineering processes
- Being methodical in ensuring web infrastructure is built in an optimized and sustainable manner
- Strong distributed systems and engineering background
- Superb problem-solving skills, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- BS, MS, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with open source development
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, security, and data privacy
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $219,300 and $378,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
