SaT Q – Quality Review
Position – The individual would be required to develop subject matter expertise on Quality Review processes and shall be the first point of contact for the stakeholders. The individual will be interpreting risk management policies, determine compliance against the policies and present the findings based on the firm guidance.
The individual is expected to drive the Quality Review (QR) processes by taking ownership that involves interactions with Senior Management / Leadership across geographies.
Technical responsibilities
- Understanding the firm structure, service line and Quality Review strategy of the firm
- Understands the guidelines issued by the firm and key regulatory requirements
- Ensure that the partners conduct business engagements according to corporate policies and standards
- Scheduling reviews, briefing and liaising with the engagement teams being reviewed, selecting sample engagements for review based on risk criteria
- Working on quality reviews and perform cross reviews for the peer group
- Individual will refer to the existing policies; however, due to frequency of unique situations will need to research issues and, through situation specific inquiries, propose solutions to issues
- Individual is expected to apply judgment to initial consultations prior to the submission of a review
- Create work papers that document the review procedures performed, findings and the results of those reviews
- Reporting on population/engagements reviewed, QR results and ratings
- Continuously look for new opportunities/innovation/improvements in the existing review process in close coordination with the supervisors, GDS SaT leadership and customer groups
Qualifications/requirements:
- Post graduate with at least 6 years in risk management and / or quality function of Big 4’s. Alternatively, hands-on experience in internal process audits and / or compliance monitoring
- Candidates with exposure to working in cross cultural environment is essential
- Good academic background
- Good communication skills and good analytical skills
- Good working knowledge of MS Office
