Collaborate with internal data teams to build predictive analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning models utilizing field service and equipment data to improve business efficiency.
Work closely with project managers & data experts from various teams to develop end-user services using AWS native technologies.
Apply knowledge of data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical modeling, best practices, and programming, to deliver analytic features on AWS products, within planned schedule with excellent quality.
Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in development and/or operational support activities.
Drive data engineering standards within the team and meet all business/project metrics
Coordinate Technical Design Reviews (Concept, Development, and Evaluation TDR’s).
Ensure privacy & security controls are in place for sensitive and PII/PHI data. Restrict data access based on data consumption for functional users, data team members, and applications.
Work with product owners and business leaders to understand market needs & vision; quickly translate that vision into demonstrable applications. Quickly define and deliver working application prototypes.
Generate reports, annotated code, and other projects to document, archive, and communicate your work and outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience (As a data scientist, data analyst, data engineer, software engineer or related data analytics discipline.)
Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Informatics, Physics, or other Quantitative STEM field.
Experience with R and Python programming languages.
Experience working with Natural Language Processing techniques and GPT models.
Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) native services (or similar big data/cloud ecosystems) such as Kafka, Kinesis, S3, Cloud watch, step function, Lambda, Spark, Glue/EMR, Elastic Search/Kibana reports, Athena, Sagemaker, Redshift.
AWS certification(s) (preferably AWS Cloud Data Engineer).
Experience working with data reporting platforms and generating visual summaries of data (PowerBI, Spotfire, Tableau, Streamlit).
Hands-on experience in writing SQL scripts for Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL or HiveQL.
Exposure to Extract, Transform & Load (ETL) data processes and machine data.
Experience working with newer/ less matured technologies, proof-of-concepts, driving pilots, and product evaluations.
Willingness to explore alternate technologies and new approaches to solving problems.
Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.
Able to produce functional area information in sufficient detail for cross-functional teams to utilize, using presentation and storytelling concepts.
Ability to foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, and rally teammates.
Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels.
Demonstrated ability to work with blended, cross-functional, global teams.
Demonstratable knowledge of technical topics, such as APIs, data transfer, scalability, and data security.
Ability to analyze and determine the best technology choice for each business use case.
