You will be responsible for the development, specification, validation and deployment of automated equipment to test and calibrate devices for Appleʼs new product introduction (NPI) and mass production.Responsibilities will be tuned to match the candidateʼs technical background, but you will may be expected to:- Architect hardware for systems to test and calibrate acoustic and N&V performance, and maintain those systems through production- Perform acoustic and vibro-acoustic simulations using FEA- Analyze large amounts of sensor data and adopt data-driven approaches to solving engineering challenges- Perform failure mode root cause analysis and resolution, debugging from the system level down to the component level- Work with our mechanical team to specify and validate the required mechanical fixturing & automation systems- Drive system bring-up and qualification at vendors and contract manufacturers during NPI builds
- MS in Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics or a similar field
- 1+ years of professional experience
- Deep familiarity with acoustics, transducer design, and/or N&V
- Experience programming in one or more of the following: C/C++/Python/Matlab
- Experience analyzing and processing large data sets
- 3+ years of professional experience
