Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer - Connectivity, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to innovate and deliver high-performance, low-power, stable connectivity platform for world class consumer products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. In this role, you will:
· Optimize Wi-Fi performance and power consumption for connectivity platforms;
· Engage with vendors to integrate Wi-Fi chipset solutions;
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Hands-on experience in IEEE802.11/Wi-Fi protocols and extensions · Experience with Wi-Fi development and debugging tools such as wireless sniffers and protocol analyzers · Experience with Android and Linux development on kernel, device drivers, and frameworks ·
- Have prior experience with Wi-Fi solutions from one or more major Wi-Fi chipset vendors · Strong knowledge of TCP/IP internals and common Networking protocols such as DHCP, DNS, HTTP, and etc.
