- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar major
- 6+ years of hands-on, detailed product design experience
- Experience in ergonomics, biomechanics, or human factors
- Experience working in and/or leading technical project groups in a professional environment
- Strong analytical skills with regard to mechanical engineering theory
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) including emails, preparing slide presentations, and presenting technical concepts to multi-disciplinary teams
- 5+ years of 3D CAD experience in professional environment (any software)
- Wide knowledge of basic engineering materials and manufacturing processes
- Detail orientated, organized, and capable of handling multiple assignments at once
- Creative problem solving, with experience in failure analysis, root cause investigation, and DOE creation
- Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or adjacent field
- Experience shipping wearable devices
- Experience converging complex products with design and research teams
- Experience with high-volume mass production
- Consumer electronics knowledge in a majority of these disciplines: industrial design, optics and lenses, cameras, sensors, displays, PCBs and flexes, silicon, antennas, batteries, thermals
- Familiarity with tolerance analysis, experience releasing 2D drawings
- Experience designing for weight reduction and structural optimization
- Working knowledge of FEA principles
