Key job responsibilities
In order for applications to be fully optimized, they need to be architected to take advantage of the global scale, elasticity, automation and high availability features of the AWS cloud. On the AWS platform, services such as API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, SQS, Kinesis, AI and others provide opportunities to design and build cloud-ready applications.* Helping customers architect scalable, highly available application solutions that leverage AWS services
* Architecting and developing customer applications to be cloud optimized* Providing deep software development knowledge with respect cloud architecture, design patterns and programming
* Advising and implementing AWS best practices
* Working as both an infrastructure and application development specialist
* Implementing DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, continuous integration and automated deployment
You will also have the opportunity to create white papers, writing blogs, build demos and other reusable collateral that can be used by our customers. Most importantly, you will work closely with our Solution Architects, Data Scientists and Service Engineering teams.

* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field with a conferral date within May 2023 to May 2025
* 1+ years of hands-on experience of programming in languages such as Python, Ruby, Go, Swift, Java, .Net, C++, Node.js, or similar object-oriented language.
* Exposure to Agile development methodologies
* 1+ years of software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in one or more modern programing languages such as: Java, JavaScript (Node.js, Angular, JQuery, etc.), Python, Amplify, React, Typescript, Bash, Powershell, Lambda, C/C++, C#
* Experience with source control repositories (e.g. GitHub/GitLab, SVN, Mercurial, and Perforce)
* Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools, such as: Jenkins, Bamboo, and Team City
* Exposure to APIs, microservices, and distributed application architectures
* Experience with AWS CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, or Ansible in production environments
* Experience with networking services, such as: VPNs, DNS, load balancers, and firewalls
* Experience with logging and monitoring tools, such as: AWS CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, and Splunk
* Experience with software development automated testing practices
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
