Duties: Design, structure, price, explain, execute, and book commodity risk management solutions within corporations and governments across Latin-America. Engage directly with Citi’s client base to market derivatives across the energy, metals, and agricultural commodity markets. Monitor credit exposure and approved quantum and tenor trading limits, documentation, permitted product lists, exchange rules, and internal policies to ensure seamless execution of swaps, options, swaptions, accumulators, and liquidity swaps. Identify hedging ideas across products and assemble pitch books where a trading idea is complemented with fundamentals analysis and historical statistical evidence. Expand product offerings in Latin America by creating new booking templates, mapping new opportunities, and marketing new products. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the commodity trading or structuring industry. Two (2) years of experience must include: Using Monte Carlo Simulation techniques to analyze statistical performance of alternative hedging strategies implemented by clients; Using Regression analysis to determine whether “proxy-hedging” would apply to clients whose market exposures are not indexed to a liquid tradable commodity; Using extensive back-testing to compare the relative performance of OTC Swaps vs Listed Futures under different markets and products; Using Monte Carlo simulations to estimate counterparty credit risk under different margining agreements, derivative types, and currencies; and Using alternative models to price options, swaptions and accumulators written on energy, metals, and agricultural commodities. 40 hrs./wk.
