Key job responsibilities
* Work with cross-functional teams—including hardware engineers, software developers, and operations personnel—to develop integrated solutions and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
* Integrate, troubleshoot the robotic system with multiple other solutions and help build an optimal planner and orchestration for the movement of the system.
* Build simulation engines, hardware mocks, integration tests as appropriate to be able to test solutions before they are deployed in production.
* Integrate and build software around vision systems that help with localizing.
* Work alongside hardware extensively to identify and fix failure modes.
* 15-20% travel expected to support onsite system testingA day in the life

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 1+ years building solutions in the cloud technlogies like AWS, GCP, Azure
- Expert level knowledge of at least one modern object oriented language such as Java (. preferred ), C++, or C#
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Experience developing on an embedded Linux system* Master's degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience working on software which controls robots or other hardware like telecom and medical devices
- Experience working on vision systems
