Principal Associate, Financial Analysis

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to influence, and strategic thinking to effectively:

• Analyze and interpret business results to provide meaningful insights and recommendations

• Create clear, concise presentations that effectively communicate financial results and other analysis to senior leaders

• Collaborate with different stakeholders to create efficient processes

Responsibilities:

• Financial reporting and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and Profit & Loss (P&L) management

• Coordinate and collect input data from Financial Analysts in different departments, check data integrity, summarize and convert data, verify, analyze, and communicate output data

• Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis and results to senior audiences

• Ad-hoc requests and special projects

• Perform financial data analysis in preparing Profit & Loss or other statements

• Frequently create reports for higher level associates

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

• At least 3 years experience in financial analysis, financial modeling or a combination

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering)

• Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Accounting, Finance, or Economics
  Certified Treasury Professional or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or CFM

• 4+ years’ experience in financial analysis and financial modeling

• 3+ years’ experience in financial services, banking or technology industries

• 3+ years’ experience partnering with senior leaders and internal stakeholders

• 3+ years’ experience in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills or Google Suite equivalents

• 2+ years of SQL and Python skills

McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Financial Analyst Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Financial AnalystThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
