This role provides the opportunities to debug/analysis system power issues but doesn’t have coding opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Understand the power system architecture of Mobile/IOT/XR/Table products.

• Analyze and debug the SW to identify power issues/regression and work with other teams to address identified issues.

• Opportunities to contribute on forward looking SW power features.

• Networks with colleagues within and outside domain to gain insight, ideas, and connections.

Skills/experience

• Good Analytical skills and fast learner.

• Understanding of Embedded systems and/or Wireless Communication, microprocessor/ARM Architecture.

• Understanding of Linux OS concepts, Linux/Android Power Management concepts

• Awareness of debugging tool like gdb/JTAG, Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Android debug framework (logcat, dmesg etc)

• Awareness of software development life cycle (SDLC)

• Basic knowledge of C/C++, Python code

Education requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EC/EEE required.

• Master's degree in CS/EC/EEE preferred.

• Preference given to candidates with experience working with Android, Linux or Wireless Communication

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 2+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
