- Develops understanding of function for procurement of parts, manufacturing processes, and supply base development.
- Establishes and maintains positive long-term relationships with suppliers through regular communication of performance status, supplier meetings, and supplier visits.
- Obtains and maintains supplier delivery promise dates, confirmed ship dates, changed ship dates, and issues updates for open orders.
- Identifies and documents supplier delivery issues and codes for supplier performance reporting.
- Identifies issues and develops plans to improve and report On Time Delivery.
- Analyzes and monitors supplier deliveries and supplier delivery performance.
- Engages problem suppliers to drive and improve supplier delivery.
- Coordinates activities within the company to improve the working relationship with the customer and supply base.
- Performs supplier maintenance in required systems.
- Issues and follows up on supplier 8Ds and corrective actions.
- Handles QOS and purchasing metrics tracking and reporting.
- Designs, implements, and reviews reports that provide the necessary information to monitor customer requirements and supplier performance.
- Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain function.
- Other duties may be assigned as required.
