Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Review, evaluate and decision credit applications for Consumer credit requests.
2. Provide a demonstrated ability to resolve complex scenarios independently and serve as a mentor to LSO I teammates.
3. Provide assistance and direction to Retail lenders regarding lending policies, procedures, processes, loan structure and pricing.
4. Maintain complete comprehension of the Bank’s Consumer lending credit policies to ensure fair and appropriate lending decisions are granted.
5. Document and explain justification for all credit exceptions granted.
6. Make recommendations to management on loan requests that pose higher credit risk and are outside individual lending authority.
7. Provide senior management with specific feedback on issues and suggestions related to the loan process, to help improve service to clients.
8. Work in partnership with Retail Loan Fulfillment to complete the loan process and resolve problems.
9. Work closely with management to recommend process improvements and identify training gap.
10. Responsible for timely decisions on all Consumer credit applications.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Five-plus years of experience in branch lending or other lending related administrative areas or equivalent education and related training
2. Thorough knowledge of complex income verification via paystubs, tax returns analysis, etc.
3. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
4. Strong analytical and problem solving ability
5. Must be SAFE (Mortgage Licensing Act) compliant within 30 days of employment in this role, including new or transfer of registration and applicable NMLS background check which includes meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, credit fitness and criminal background standards. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements

6. Basic PC skills

1. Graduate of Bank Leadership Development Program
2. Spreadsheet experience
3. Knowledge of Bank operations, systems, compliance, and regulatory issue
4. Credit Administration and/or branch lending experience
