IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:Manage and grow the team that designs, develops and operates an online experimentation platform to enable on-device and device/server combined ML workflows. For example, build a service to rollout / rollback experiments to billions of devices in just few hours, build highly scalable data systems to process billions of events daily. Develop and grow a strong team of senior systems engineers. Set the vision, multi-year roadmap and execution plans for the platform in collaboration with senior cross-functional leaders across Apple. Attract and develop talent, fostering a technical culture that encourages innovation and collaboration. This also includes nurturing technical leaders within AIML organization. Drive engineering quality for the platform.
- 5+ years of managing teams through organizational change and growth
- Experience leading strategic technical projects with multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of iOS, macOS fundamentals and frameworks
- Experience with daemon and framework development
- Proven ability to deliver world class, iOS/macOS production grade software
- Highly technical, detail oriented, and willing to drive architecture and solutions
- Experience with one or more of the following languages: Objective-C, Swift, C/C++, etc
- Experience with shipping online Experimentation systems
- Experience with independently networking, learning, and influencing cross-functional teams
- B.S./M.S. in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience with Machine Learning
