The Responsibilities:
Lead, inspire, and grow high-performing Analytics Engineers, and integrate work from Data Engineering and Data Science partners. This includes guiding the team to define metrics and data models, build data pipelines, build analytic tools, and influence through analytic projects.
Create a vision and build a portfolio of solutions ranging from data and analytic products through models and applied AI.
Identify areas of finance that can be improved or optimized through the application of data science techniques, such as text mining and ML to improve vendor management, predictive models for cash flow management, and classification models for optimizing incentive programs.
Take a consultative approach to develop and deliver strategic insights to improve or optimize multiple areas of finance.
Act as an ambassador between the Product, Engineering, Strategy, and DSE teams by having a deep knowledge of how Netflix operates as a business.
Instill an inclusive culture that is innovative and collaborative, both within your team and in the broader organization.
The Ideal Candidate:
Has experience building and leading hybrid Analytics and Data Science teams in the Finance domain of medium-sized businesses, ideally in tech, media, or entertainment industries.
Is deeply experienced with data warehousing and analytic concepts, and has applied data science experience in the Finance domain.
Superbly communicates - you must be able to cultivate strong working relationships, communicate effectively, write meticulously, and give outstanding presentations to both technical and creative audiences.
Has a proven track record of partnering cross-functionally with embedded analytic, engineering, and product teams.
Has demonstrated tenacity, resilience, and leadership experience that enables you to organize and drive cross-functional projects, propose solutions, and overcome challenges.
Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $360,000 - $920,000.
