What you’ll do
Help the team to service existing upstream and sovereign clients, with ample scope to assume primary coverage pending success once in the role
Drive client franchise expansion. Originate and execute meaningful incremental business with both existing and new clients to achieve the strategic growth and market share we are aiming for
Collaborate with multiple internal partners across both Markets and Banking to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise
Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
What we’ll need from you
This is not an entry level role. Proven experience is needed in a commodities relationship management role, including coverage of either upstream and/or sovereign clients.
Must have developed understanding of at least one of commodities derivatives/physical/financing products and strong aptitude to come up the learning curve where necessary.
An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and proven ability to adapt to meet evolving business opportunities.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups, both internal and external to Citi
Team-oriented approach and eagerness to succeed together.
Demonstrated understanding of compliance issues and regulatory requirements (global and local)

In order to comply with the requirements of the Certification Regime, Citi entities must take reasonable care to ensure that an employee does not perform a Certified Role without first being certified as Fit and Proper. For this reason, you will be assessed for this role against the Fit and Proper requirements, as described above.
This assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, regulated reference checks, credit checks and other background screening checks.
