Job Summary
As a member of the design team, you’ll contribute to feature test coverage, tooling frameworks, issue troubleshooting, and resolution of OpenStack services. As a Software Engineer, you will participate as a member of a geographically distributed team, using multiple communication tools for close collaboration. You’ll need to have a passion for modern open source development methods.
What You Will Do
Become a contributing member of the open source community to develop CI framework tools based on OpenStack’s Zuul, GitHub, and GitLab CI
Develop and maintain Red Hat OpenStack Platform operators and services CI
Contribute to the delivery of the Red Hat OpenStack Platform release cadence
Participate in upstream and internal continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) initiatives, as well as automation efforts
Inspire and guide technical direction and content within the community and Red Hat
Work with OpenStack deployments—including OpenShift-managed operators—and upstream CI teams to improve automation coverage
Proactively define and implement automated processes.
Maintain and troubleshoot issues in the OpenStack production chain pipeline
What You Will Bring
2+ years of experience with CI and/or DevOps
Expertise in CI pipelines and Ansible automation for seamless deployments and consistent environments
Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting, with advanced skills in Jenkins for efficient CI/CD workflows
Skilled in precise debugging to swiftly identify and resolve complex issues, ensuring smooth operations
Specialist knowledge in Kubernetes for container orchestration and OpenStack for managing scalable cloud infrastructure
Experience in developing Kubernetes/OpenShift operators
Nice To Have
Experience with Zuul for managing sophisticated CI/CD pipelines and streamlining code reviews
Familiarity with Golang
