Job Summary

As a member of the design team, you’ll contribute to feature test coverage, tooling frameworks, issue troubleshooting, and resolution of OpenStack services. As a Software Engineer, you will participate as a member of a geographically distributed team, using multiple communication tools for close collaboration. You’ll need to have a passion for modern open source development methods.

What You Will Do

• Become a contributing member of the open source community to develop CI framework tools based on OpenStack’s Zuul, GitHub, and GitLab CI

• Develop and maintain Red Hat OpenStack Platform operators and services CI

• Contribute to the delivery of the Red Hat OpenStack Platform release cadence

• Participate in upstream and internal continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) initiatives, as well as automation efforts

• Inspire and guide technical direction and content within the community and Red Hat

• Work with OpenStack deployments—including OpenShift-managed operators—and upstream CI teams to improve automation coverage

• Proactively define and implement automated processes.

• Maintain and troubleshoot issues in the OpenStack production chain pipeline

What You Will Bring

• 2+ years of experience with CI and/or DevOps

• Expertise in CI pipelines and Ansible automation for seamless deployments and consistent environments

• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting, with advanced skills in Jenkins for efficient CI/CD workflows

• Skilled in precise debugging to swiftly identify and resolve complex issues, ensuring smooth operations

• Specialist knowledge in Kubernetes for container orchestration and OpenStack for managing scalable cloud infrastructure

• Experience in developing Kubernetes/OpenShift operators

Nice To Have

• Experience with Zuul for managing sophisticated CI/CD pipelines and streamlining code reviews

• Familiarity with Golang
