Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and management of market access and health economics activities for the WATCHMAN LAAC Business, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and execute market access and reimbursement strategies in the US and support implementation in global markets.
  • Monitor and proactively influence health policy developments that impact reimbursement of BSC products.
  • Identify optimal reimbursement pathways for portfolio pipeline (coding/coverage/payment)
  • Collaborate with new product development teams and clinical/regulatory colleagues to ensure health economics and market access needs are incorporated into product development plans, clinical trials and regulatory strategies
  • Participate as contributing member on cross-functional evidence planning teams.
  • Identify and respond to sales needs for reimbursement and economic resources and tools (e.g. coding guides, economic calculators, documentation best practices)
  • Develop and oversee in-service training for sales colleagues and other cross-functional team members to increase awareness and understanding of health economics and market access competencies and their role in supporting a product’s success.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience in medical industry, including experience supporting reimbursement strategies for a medical device manufacturer.
  • Strong understanding of US health care policy and payment systems, including hospital and physician reimbursement.
  • Ability to communicate complex health policy and financial information to diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated experience working across teams and/or functions to accomplish objectives.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Domestic travel estimated at 20%, including overnight travel.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree such as an MS, MPH, MBA, MPH, MHA in health policy, health economics, healthcare administration, health services research, or similar discipline
  • Interventional Cardiology industry experience
  • Expertise in global market access, health policy and reimbursement
  • Experience with new technology reimbursement pathways, particularly device.
