Perform hands-on troubleshooting, preventive and correct maintenance on test equipment in our labs
Troubleshooting mechanisms and electro-mechanical systems
Troubleshoot electrical controls, data acquisition systems, safety systems, and sensors
Perform the fabrication, assembly, and/or modifications of automated test equipment including controls, actuators, and safety controls
Produce or revise test equipment procedures and documentation
Support development and testing of new tests and test equipment
What You’ll Bring
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and instructions in order to fabricate metal parts & components. This includes the ability to understand and use CAD files
Machine tool & metal fabrication skills are required. Welding skillset required. Various methods and metals such as stainless steel. Previous fabricator / fab shop experience required. Machine tool experience including manual and CNC milling desired. 3D printing knowledge desired
Knowledge of a variety of fasteners, adhesives, and general best practices for the use of hand tools/ power tools
Familiarity with Automation, PLC’s, Data acquisition, Electrical controls
Ability to wire up control panels, PLCs, sensors, and various controls and data acquisition equipment
High awareness of safety hazards, procedures, and best work practices as it relates to high energy systems
Working knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
