Role : Vice President (603)

Your primary responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day Operations for Global Screening Operations, Level 1 team in Mumbai. You will own and manage the business deliverables. You will be managing a team of about 45 staff with 2-4 direct reports. You will closely coordinate and work with other client operations sites to ensure business goals and objectives are met.

Your Key Responsibilities would include: -

  • Ensuring BAU Execution to be best in class. Publishing of periodic metrics as required and tracking reasons for deviation from agreed levels.
  • Responding to routine queries/escalations/ client complaints and ensuring resolution of the same.
  • Identify opportunities for process efficiency & implement in a controlled manner
  • Exhibit effective communication with key stakeholders
  • Work in partnership with Local/Global OCM team for QA Tests, MIS, Audit etc
  • Work directly with senior managers to identify technology, resource and/or process needs. Identify opportunities for improvements in the process and recommend solutions
  • Develop an environment of continuous focus on quantifiable productivity and quality.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and demonstrating willingness to follow through to an outcome. Escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Participate in any other GSO aligned initiatives as necessary
  • Constant and regular review for direct reports and larger team. Set and manage expectations and lead through accountability.
  • Manage and execute complex projects and ensure that project deliverables are met with the appropriate due diligence and system integration
  • Participate in meetings at operational and project level, partner with GSO Transformation and provide regular continuous feedback on operational issues for smooth roll out of Projects impacting production team.
  • Responsible for overall Performance Management and Talent Review process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance / accounting and M.B.A preferred - 15+ years experience in financial services industry.
  • Experience and a strong working knowledge of various aspects of International Payment Processing Operations are mandatory. (Prior experience and working knowledge of compliance /sanctions screening is a plus)
  • Working knowledge of SWIFT & international payment conventions
  • Understanding of business applications of AI/ML is required
  • Outstanding client management, partnership building, leadership and direct experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with colleagues and senior management.
  • Experience of working with Risk, Audit and Compliance to ensure that the overall organizational objectives are met.
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills and Strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to build strong business relationships within the site and across the business.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to follow through. Escalate issues as appropriate.
  • Develop and lead a team that is responsive to dynamic organizational and operational changes.
  • Knowledge of MS Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
