The Technical Vendor Manager will spearhead initiatives aimed at optimizing the performance of our vendor ecosystem, ensuring that our vendors consistently meet and exceed the performance standards set by our organization. Effective verbal and written communication is a key skill to generate alignment between MSP and vendor. This candidate requires strong attention to detail, technical understanding of Manufacturing & Assembly of Automation systems, analytical and abstract thinking, time management and organizational skills.
Key job responsibilities
• You will develop strong relationships with new and existing vendors, cultivating strong partnerships and driving adherence to success criteria.
• This role requires development of vendor qualification protocols and contracts. You must be comfortable representing Amazon in meetings with senior executive teams from top selling partners.
• You will establish goals & strategic direction for the role within MSP CX, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and vision. This includes goals around cost reductions and improved quality and safety processes.
• You will establish and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendor services, ensuring they meet or surpass customer satisfaction requirements. You will prepare and present reports on vendor performance, issues, and resolutions, establish mechanisms to onboard and maintain status of vendor into Amazon internal systems (e.g Avetta)
• You will develop business cases and request/manage Capital (budgets) ties to both in year projects and long-term vendor development partnerships.
• You will deep dive safety/quality/performance gaps, steering vendor performance through continuous improvement activities.
• You will work closely with technical leaders and program managers to compose and influence product improvement road-map according to vendor capabilities.
• You must demonstrate strong organizational, and leadership skills to facilitate effective, collaborative project meetings with vendors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- BA/BS degree in Engineering or related STEM field. BA/BS in Business or Supply Chain with 10+ years of experience.
- 7+ years of experience leading overall end-to-end project delivery including resources, CAPEX, schedule and vendor management.
- 5+ years experience with contract management and legal aspects related to vendor agreements.
- 5+ years in managing project portfolios, budgets and decentralized resources to execute project goals in a global environment
- 5+ years experience in Robotics, Automation, Distribution, Manufacturing, Logistics, and other warehouse environments.
- 5+ years experience tracking Capital (budget) documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and meet the business KPI (Key Performance Indicators).


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- MBA/MS degree in Engineering or related STEM field. MS/MBA in Business or Supply Chain
- - 10+ years of experience with technical project portfolio management.
- - 7+ years experience working on developing and presenting vendor selection strategy to company leadership.
- - 7+ years working on infrastructures projects in Robotic, Automation, Construction, IT, MHE.
- - 7+ years of site launch experience deploying packaging and robotics automation in retail, distribution, logistics or similar industry.
- - 7+ years experience managing multiple vendors globally.
- Excellent business communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- - PMP Certification.
